My family and I live in the chilly mountains of Arizona 🌲, where I like exploring the outdoors and working on DIY projects with my wife, three crazy kids, outdoor dog, and nineteen chickens 🐔.
As a design leader, I have a playful passion for impact, with 20+ years of experience across both design practice and education. I strive to bring a creative energy to every engagement and design intervention.
Currently, I am leading the Design Thinking program, as part of the enterprise User Experience team at Sherwin Williams, where I love tinkering with principles of play to engage people in learning and applying 'people first' approaches to solving large impact problems 🤜🤛.

Sherwin Williams - Leading the adoption of design thinking as a key component in the transformation of the organization's culture, strategy, and approach to what is next for Sherwin Williams.
Blob Life - My wife and I are on a mission to help kids fight the 'blob life' and get them moving with toys that promote active and imaginative play.
Playful Factory - Cultivating creative confidence by helping kids design and fabrication their own toys at camps and in the classroom.
Maker Club - Mentoring teenager's to spark interest in STEM through making at our local community center.
Recent Projects
Brand + AI - Working with internal product / brand teams at Sherwin Williams to facilitate and coach them in the definition of strategies for the role generative AI will play in improving the customer experience.
Facilitation & Collaboration Training - Developed and delivering workshop style training to individuals and teams at Sherwin Williams, boosting their confidence to lead and participate in guided collaborative creative decision making.
Tech X - Co-developed and presented content on Empathy, Joy, and Play at an internal Sherwin Williams conference, with an attendance of 1200+.
Immersive Experience Design Course - Developed and taught project-based course for Siebel Center for Design, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
